Holland

Castle Park: 6700 Bryant St:
Built in 1890 by Michael Schwarz in an attempt to recreate a "Feudal State" like the ones in his native Germany. He hoped the castle would seclude his family from, "America's Uncivilizing Influence." Despite his attempts to keep his daughters secluded, one of them fell in love with a local Dutch boy, with whom she ran away to elope with. Schwarz interfered with the attempted elopement and locked his daughter away in the castle's tower. Local legend has it that on moonlit nights, her ghost can be seen in the tower window looking towards Holland for her lost love.

Felt Mansion, 6597 138th Ave:
Dorr E. Felt constructed this mansion for his wife, Agnes. The home was completed in 1928,and housed the family until 1949, when it was purchased for use as The St. Augustine Seminary. In the 1960's it was home to a group of cloistered nuns, and late in the 1970's the property was purchased by The State of Michigan and was used as the offices for the Dunes Correctional Facility which was on the grounds.  Visitors to  the now township owned property have reported opening doors and windows, an odd "pink light", and at least two resident ghosts.
