This house is located on the site of an old
Indian village, and has many reported ghostly residents. There are many
stone piles that appear to be lined up according to pagan rituals.
This home has been investigated by several teams, and is believed to have a "portal type" haunting..
Hastings
Charlton Park,
2545 S. Charlton Rd:
A lady is said to have been murdered in this old
hotel during a bar fight.
On
many occasions she has been seen walking the halls of the third floor. There
is a cleaning lady who refuses to clean on this floor because she gets "weird
feelings" when she is there.
The apparition has never been seen anywhere else other than this hotel.
Local legend also tells of a young girl who was playing hide and seek and has locked herself in an old chest. No one found her in time and she suffocated. She has also been reported to have been seen walking the halls of the same floor.
Hastings Middle School,
232 W. Grand St:
Local legend says
that the school was built over a ancient Indian burial ground.
Teachers and students alike have reported seeing an Indian Chief appearing as a dark shadowy figure floating down halls. He is also reported to move objects in the classrooms.
Many of the teachers call him “Chief Turkey Feather” because of turkey feathers left behind after he visits classrooms.
Middleville

Shaw Lake Rd:
Local legend tells of a young
girl, approximately 13 year old that died over 20 years ago, who is
rumored to be walking along the road.
Research has found a reference to a 17 year old that drowned in Shaw Lake, Middleville in June 1960, it is our belief this is the source of the haunting.
Nashville
Quaker Cemetery,
Guy Rd:
At night you can
see lights up on the hill. many people have reported seeing men wandering in the cemetery, as well
as a male apparition pointing a gun at people. It is common to get a very sinking
feeling, or a upset stomach as you enter the cemetery.
Putnam District
Library,
327 North Main St:
Mr. Putnam who had TB , attempted to commit suicide in the carriage house
by shooting
himself in the chest and in the head. He died of his wounds the next day around 4:00.
The next suicide case was a maid of the Putnam's who had an affair with the nephew of the family. He denied the affair when she found out she was pregnant at 16.
She took the father's gun and shot herself.
Mrs. Putnam's only children were twins, but they both died they day they were born.
Reports now tell of sightings of the maid, Mrs. Putnam, and Mr. Putnam
Research has shown this sight was also used to host funerals in the past.
