Alma

Alma College campus, 807 W. Superior St:

Alma College was founded in 1886 by Michigan Presbyterians and still maintains a close relationship with the Presbyterian Church. The Gamma Phi Beta sorority was founded at Alma College in September of 1984.

Gamma Phi Beta House Sisters that live in the "pink" room awoke one night to see a ghostly figure pacing back and forth between the closet door and the bedroom door. The sisters that stay in that room immediately started screaming, and the president came out of her room, opened the door and the ghost went past her. When she returned to her room everything that was hanging on the walls had fallen to the ground. Also, there are always strange things happening at the house. Things turn up missing or are moved. Strange noises can be heard throughout the night. Doors are always slamming, lights go dim, and many other strange things happen. The "hauntings" started shortly after the sisters of gamma phi beta remodeled the house...it`s almost like it upset the ghost(s).

Ithaca

Private Residence, Maple St:
The original house was built soon after the town of Ithaca was founded in 1871 by Joseph and Sarah Wyatt.  The house has a large basement and two upper floors.  The house is very hard to navigate. The interior rooms are all disconnected and rooms feel very cut off from the others. The upstairs is closed off by a door.

More history of the house goes as follows: Joseph Wyatt, though not a rich man, loved the piano and played it constantly.  His wife, Sarah was unfortunately unable to bare him a child. He himself was most likely infertile, but the blame was placed on his wife. He soon grew bitter as Joseph grew more and more frustrated. He soon convinced himself that his wife was possessed and she was trying to cause him suffering. He attacked his wife with a skinning knife thinking he could "bleed out" the demonic infestation. This of course was unsuccessful and she died very soon after. He, fearing ridicule and perhaps conviction from the townsfolk buried her body in the forest far from the house in order to keep her demons from the house. He assured himself that his wife was not who he killed: only a demon. He died in 1910.

Neighbors complained that odd sounds would often come from the house. Sounds of hammering, ranting, screaming and even a piano. Residents claimed moving objects, strange photographs, voices, and a rotting flesh smell from several rooms.
