Paranormal Michigan was created to bring together history, folklore, ghost stories, and serious paranormal research in a way that is entertaining, respectful, and rooted in real places. Our work includes haunted history tours, paranormal books, public lectures, historical research, and storytelling built around Michigan’s most fascinating locations. Whether someone finds us through one of our tours or through one of our books, our goal is the same: to help people see familiar places differently.

We believe ghost stories are more than spooky entertainment. They are often connected to real people, real buildings, real tragedies, and real moments in local history. Our tours and books are designed for people who enjoy the strange and mysterious, but who also appreciate research, context, and a good story well told. Paranormal Michigan also operates Nomadic Blessings Ministries, our homeless outreach and ministry work, allowing our tours, books, lectures, and events to support a mission that reaches beyond haunted history and into the lives of people who need care, dignity, and hope.

Nicole Du Shane

Nicole Du Shane, The Haunted Historian, is the primary author of the Paranormal Michigan book series and the lead historical researcher behind Paranormal Michigan's tours, lectures, and publications. Her passion for Michigan history, genealogy, and archival research has led her to uncover countless forgotten stories that connect local legends with the people and places where they began.

Nicole believes the most compelling ghost stories are grounded in documented history. Through careful research, she pieces together newspaper accounts, historical records, family histories, and local folklore to reveal the true events that shaped Michigan's haunted past. Her writing brings those discoveries to life, making history engaging, accessible, and memorable for readers and tour guests alike.

As both an author and historian, Nicole is dedicated to preserving Michigan's rich heritage while sharing the stories that might otherwise be forgotten. Her work helps ensure that Paranormal Michigan remains rooted in historical accuracy, proving that the truth behind a legend is often just as fascinating as the legend itself.

Rev. Robert Du Shane

Rev. Robert Du Shane is the founder of Paranormal Michigan and has spent more than three decades investigating paranormal claims, researching local history, and sharing the stories behind Michigan's most fascinating places.

Paranormal clergy, lecturer, investigator, and tour guide, he is known for approaching the unexplained with curiosity, respect, and a commitment to historical accuracy.

Robert's role within Paranormal Michigan is largely administrative, overseeing the organization's day-to-day operations while coordinating tours, investigations, publications, and events. Although his work often happens behind the scenes, he most enjoys public speaking, historical interpretation, paranormal investigation, and leading guests through the stories that have made Michigan's history so memorable.

Drawing on decades of experience in paranormal research and ministry, Robert believes that every haunting begins with history and that the best ghost stories are those told with honesty, compassion, and respect for the people who lived them.
